Tour de Compadres 2015

Tour de Compadres was a two-leg, spring/summer 2015 tour put on by southern rockers NEEDTOBREATHE, featuring a few of their favorite friends in support. On the first leg support included up-and-coming Nashville rockers Colony House, folk/rock stalwarts Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, and energetic pop/rock artist Ben Rector.  On the second leg, for which San Francisco served as the first stop, Ben Rector was replaced by San Diego's finest (and big-name headliner in their own right), Switchfoot.

The four bands kicked off the second leg at the venerable Masonic atop swanky Nob Hill in San Francisco. The Masonic is truly one of the best places to see a show in the Bay Area thanks to its tiered floor and wide, arcing balcony, and it's a pretty good place to take photos as well. This was my first time seeing Colony House, Drew Holcomb and Switchfoot, so I was pretty excited to shoot each of them. Switchfoot in particular blew me away with their energy and frontman Jon Foreman's expressiveness and stage presence. Certainly one of the most fun bands I've shot to date, and one that I'll certainly make a point of shooting any chance I get.
